Days 14 & 15

Hello!
So we wrapped up the weekend by being apart.
Jesse worked on his car, while I took Stryker to the park with my friend Ashley.
Stryker looooooved the water at the park (sort of scary since there was also a lot of trash in the water), and jumped in several times to swim.

So for day 14 I am thankful for Fall.
I am thankful for the beautiful colors and to be able to enjoy them.
Here are some photos from yesterday:

Stryker is the water, about the center of the screen.

Brutus (Stryker's friend), and Stryker in the water

The dogs are just dots here...But they found a watering hole and left us;)
For today, Day 15, I am thankful for the weather.
What was the weather like today you ask?
Today's high was 81* and the low was 67*.
Now, I am with you if you think that's a bit
c  r  a  z  y  ,
because I think it is.
It doesn't even feel like fall.  Is it going to be like this on black friday when I'm buying
Christmas gifts?
Sheesh.
Don't get me wrong, tomorrow is supposed to be a smidge cooler, and by Friday it's supposed to be in the low 60's.
Still warmer than Washington, but whatever.
It sure would be nice to be standing outside and not be freezing my bootie off:)

Anyway, hope you all had a great Veteran's Day weekend!

What Color Is Your Food?

This is a great article (taken from here) which I thought was a good read & would like to share.  I know that I talk a lot about the foods that I eat...Or more particularly, bake, but I thought that this article was kind of handy!  Hope you all had a fun & safe Halloween....Happy November!

Another Snippet of Fall

From the great state of Washington!

Well the days are getting shorter, darkness doesn't go away fast enough in the morning and creeps up on us too quickly in the evening.
Fall is here.
And daylight savings starts very soon....Ick!
Work has been surprisingly calm, I guess that in retail that happens.  It's funny because October and most of November are surprisingly quiet months for us in the jewelry {retail} business.
Jesse's working along...They have longer and longer days it seems, but I am not going to complain.  We all know that it could be much worse.
I will be leaving my job soon, to pursue other things.  Nothing really new and exciting in that department.

Anyway, I will try and post some things about our lives a little bit more!

Happy Thursday!!

Tag, Your IT!

Thank you to

for the tag!!

This is what to do:
If you're tagged answer the following questions...
Then tag some great blog friends to do the same!

1.  Where do you picture yourself in 5 years?
Hmmm.  How old will I be?? 31.  Hopefully we'll have a kid (or two).  Who knows where we'll be stationed...Probably not in the great state of Washington.  Hopefully I'll be happy and rested!
2.  What would you do if you won the lottery?
We'd probably do something for his mom and my parents.  Not sure what, but something.  I would want to buy a house, save money, adopt a few more dogs.  Or donate money to some amazing no-kill shelters.
3.  What is your favorite season?
Summer.  I have to admit that winter and fall both have their perks (fall being second, winter being third), but I could care less for spring.  I feel like spring is a tease, and it doesn't have a lot of fun holidays.  Kinda boring!
4.  What is your favorite sport, if any?
I like to play volleyball.  I don't follow any sport, but I don't mind going to a football, baseball, or soccer game.  It's the experience I guess.
5.  Do you have any pets?
Um, YES!  LOVE my doggie and my kitty.  Love love love!!!!
6.  Where is one place you hope to go in your lifetime?
Europe.  Eventually I guess.
7.  Can you describe your dream home?
Southern-style porch complete with the cool rockers.  Energy efficient (solar panels and the like), on a big piece of property, far enough away from people, but not too far.  Great place for dogs.  Oh, and an interior like an interior designer would do.
8.  Do you have any blogging secrets or tips to share?
Hmm...Not really.  The layouts I like the best through shaggy blogs or cutest blog on the block!

....To pass it on....

Have fun!

PS - Watch this vid!
It's OK Go and all the dogs in this video are shelter dogs!

Oktoberfest!

German food, German beer, HAMMERSCHLAGEN!
(according to the Puyallup Fair grounds hammerschlagen is not a drinking game)

So in celebration of October, we celebrated
OKTOBERFEST.

::Here are our photos::

Hammerschlaggen is a game where you drink beer, then four or more people stand around a stump, and, with only one hit at a time, pass the hammer around and try to hit the nail into the stump with the pointy end of a hammer until the nail is flush in the stump.
Riveting, I know... :)

Welcome October & Follow Me Friday

Happy October, Happy Fall, and Welcome to Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

This should be an interesting month full of lots of fall colors, foods, pumpkins, and pink.
Not to mention the calm before the storm that we call Christmastime!

I hope you all take this month to do something to support Breast Cancer Awareness!
I saw this awesome shirt advertised on The Today Show:

You can find this shirt at the Save the Tatas Website.
You can also find something they call "boob lube," which I'm not gonna lie...
Seems interesting...

Anyway, an eventful month!

On another note...
I am doing
FOLLOW ME FRIDAY
{which I haven't done in ages}
TODAY!!!

There are so many of you I haven't started following, or have lost track of and I am SO SORRY!
Leave me a comment and your blog address so I can start
following you.

Have an amazing day &
Happy October!!
